Wonder what the importance of it is?

I've had this internal debate for a long time now. I have a deep love and respect for digital painting (as opposed to digital air brushing), because I love brush strokes so much. Even though airbrushing always comes out so smooth and beautiful, it just feels like cheating. But you never know how you like it until you try it, right?

So this is me trying it. Hope it turned out ok. I experimented with lighting a little.
